I bought a second ps3 slim(at 320 gb) thats like new, been playing a videogame 8 hours a day and it gets really hot underneath the console because the fan never reaches the higher fan speed like my older 6 year old slim ps3(at 120 gb) does. My older ps3 stays cooler than my newer ps3 due to the fan reaching higher speed after 10 or 20 minutes of play and stays that way, whereas my newer ps3 does not do that ever and is hotter. Do all new or like new ps3 consoles have fans that run at lower fan speed but increase in fan speed as the months and years go by? Why is my like new ps3 console hotter with lower fan speed than my older ps3? Is this normal. Please someone help, the more the better because theres really no in depth info out there about how ps3 fan speeds should run and why theres a difference between newer and older consoles.
Please Help.
Thanks !
